!f Istanbul is 10 years old

If you are in Istanbul, this month, don’t miss the !f Istanbul AFM International Independent Film; it started yesterday 16th February and will go on till Feb. 27.
The festival is a decade old this year so expect cutting-edge cinema, Indies and some of the year’s most talked-about films and Oscar contenders.

The Sundance Institute, which manages the Sundance Film Festival, selected Istanbul this year as one of 14 locations worldwide for its Film Forward program, initiated under the incentive of U.S. President Barack Obama to develop worldwide intercultural dialogue.
Under the program,!f will be screening nine Film Forward titles and hosting several of the film’s directors for workshops and post-screening discussions.

In addition to noted Hollywood screenwriters Bill Wheeler and Wesley Strick, acclaimed Israeli author and director Etgar Keret and several Sundance Institute directors will be in Istanbul for a three-day marathon on developing screenwriting skills, including a panel discussion, a case study and presentations.

This is the place to be if you are aspiring to work in the film industry or just a cinema enthusiast.
