Hatay airport has announced that the airport will remain closed until February 26th as adverse weather conditions continue to interfere with the running of the province.
The southern province airport has been closed since January due to hazardous rain in the city that has flooded the runway and deemed the airport too dangerous to fly from.
Hatay Governor, Celalettin Lekesiz said that they hope to have things cleared up by the end of the month to resume flights from Hatay.
With so many people flying to Turkey every day, it is crucial that Hatay airport fixes the damage caused by the floods and opens for business as soon as possible. So many people move to Turkey each year and use airports all over Turkey that the lack of activity in Hatay could lead many tourists in Turkey looking for other ways to move around Turkey.
