Turks attracted to visa-less countries

Travel by Turks to countries that do not require a visa increased by 30 percent last year and is likely to rise even more in 2011, according to the head of a local travel agency.

According to the report, Turkish demand for trips to Mexico, Kenya, Vietnam, Jamaica, Cuba and South Africa will increase in 2011 due to the convenient visa regime in place.

According to data provided by the agency in a press release, the number of Turkish tourists visiting countries like Syria and Egypt and countries in the Far East, which do not demand visas from Turkish visitors increased compared to the number of tourists choosing classical tours to Paris, Milan and Madrid.

We would love to hear from our readers, especially Turks on this one, do visa limitations put you off when choosing a holiday destination?
